Cuban-born Carlos Garaicoa rebuilds decrepit spaces in the photographs he takes of unfinished or decaying buildings about to be destroyed. Starting with a photograph of what is, the Cuban dreamer takes it one step further to what it can be – all with pins and thread. Each unique work speaks of the rise and the fall of cities everywhere.
