Berlin - Andreas Krüger, has set up his hives to the east, on the roof of the Hellersdorfer town hall on Alice Salomon square.
He started beekeeping six years ago to satisfy an old childhood dream and to get back to nature. "'I also really wanted to make honey. I have a slogan, Honey before dogs…” He notes that in Berlin it’s better to have bees than a dog because the bees improve the environment. "“Otherwise, I run marathons. I have ten hives and tomorrow I am going to harvest. I hope each hive to yield about 80 kilograms of honey”.
